Here's a few tips on what to include to make your profile informative and enjoyable
for friends. Plus, some advice about what you may wish to leave out.
Things to include...
When you read old friends' profiles, you'll find the following popular themes which
you may also want to write a bit about:
- Are you single, married or divorced
- Do you have kids? How many?
- What do you do for a living at the moment? What
careers have you tried?
- What part of the country did you settle in? Have
you moved a lot? Have you ever lived abroad?
- What are your hobbies and interests?
- Are you the same character as you were when you
were young? Have you mellowed with age or become more go-getting?
- Are you surprised at how your life is turning out
or is it all going to plan?
But don't include...
We recommend that you don't include specific personal details in the public section
of your profile. Your privacy is our utmost concern and we never ever reveal your
personal email address, date of birth or any other sensitive information. We also
recommend you avoid including the following items in your profile:
- Your email address
- Your personal phone number
- Your address or name of the street you currently
live in
- The names of your children, pets or anything you
may use as a password
- Your birthday or date of birth
